SAMINA PURE MAKEUP
Samina Pure Makeup are a small, Birmingham-based, independent makeup brand offering pure, natural beauty products. As a Muslim woman and frustrated at the amount of animal, alcohol and chemical laden products contained in makeup, Samina was inspired to create her own unique range.

Without taking away the origins or distinctiveness of the logo I set about re-crafting to appeal more widely but still retain its unique personality. The lotus flower graphic was added to give extra interest and flexibility to the branding and because it symbolises purity.
- Product Packaging
It was felt that the new makeup containers needed to be packaged in smart new cartons, not only to reflect the newly invigorated brand but also help sales for when Samina progresses to sell in-store. Clean and crisp, the logo was foiled to add a touch of prestige and the lotus graphic added interest and strengthened the brand.
- Product Brochure
The brochure was an important part of the rebrand as it was an opportunity to showcase Samina's product range in all their glory. I was involved in the photoshoot, helping the photographer and giving art direction where needed; retouching the new logo onto the new packs and adding some of the newer shades for the items still in production.
- Website
Following the new brand ethos the site was clean and attractive, easy to navigate and showcased the products perfectly. I advised on all aspects of the design and build, from the site map, design, copywriting and template build.
